Free At Last

Just before dinner, the nurse untethered me from my IV pole (Nancy - I named it "the bitch-bag"). I cannot tell you how much easier it is to move without it! The nurse gave me permission to do cartwheels down the hallway if I wanted to, so long as I didn't hurt myself. I opted for a more subdued victory dance.

Dinner was actually good - I'm not sure if it was just the fact that I wasn't tethered anymore or if it was really good. I guess I don't care. Today has been the best day so far, so the reasons don't really matter.

I found out that 2 more MS patients are checking in next week for the same treatment. I can't wait for them to show up so we can compare notes. I only hope that I can offer the same encouragement and strength that all of you have given to me in the last week.

Again, thanks everyone for posting - it really helps to know that I have a link to the outside world.

Hi Jenette!!! Glad to hear that you are doing better! Havent had a chance to get on until tonight (I actually tried the other night, but it wouldnt take my post for some reason). Just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers...we need you out of there and back on your feet ASAP. Greg has no one to keep him on line while you are gone LOL. Mom was REALLY happy to be able to talk with you tonight...she has been worried and concerned, and talking to you helped to alleviate that a little. I will send good energies and karma your way! Love ya!

The healing powers of cartwheels! Sometimes it's just the ok from the nurse... "Yes, you may do cartwheels down the hall, but no round-offs. And just make sure you don't step out of bounds when you finish with your triple pike summer-sault at the end, and you must absolutly stick the landing... Or you'll forfeit the gold ."

Jenette,
Glad to hear you are ready for cartwheels. I agree that the Happy Dance was a good choice though! Everyone was asking about you last night at the Board Meeting (sorry to bring up work) and Kevin forwarded your blog to us. Be strong, you are in my prayers.
