Today I went for a walk outside. It was wonderful to feel the sunshine and the breeze. I will never take these things for granted again!
Mish - Sounds like a busy birthday party. Although I think someone may be a little upset if you get rid of all (but four) her toys!
Debbie - Go Cubs, Go! They are kicking ass - and yes, I have been watching them. I'm hoping D. Lee and Edmonds get on a home run roll again!
Gretch - Don't worry, I'm taking good care of myself. And I have two vigilant caregivers (Mom and Greg) to make sure I do.
Nancy - Sorry you wore yourself out - easy to do. Glad to see that you have resurfaced.
Amy - Now that the Olympics are over, I've become a convention junkie. I though Hillary's speech was phenomenal!
Liz - I too agree with Greg's comment wholeheartedly! I miss you guys too!

eeeeeyyyyyesssss!!!!!!!!YAHOOOOOO!!!! Holy Moly Rocky I'm glad you're finally home. I called Liz today to see if she knew how you were doing and I was beginning to feel like a stalker because I kept checking your blog to see if it had been updated.
What a great day to be outside. For a moment I was thinking wouldn't it be great if you could put your cats in large sized hamster balls and have them keep you entertained while they rolled around but then I remembered Adam Sandler(I think) as "bubble boy". Heh,heh wouldn't you make a great cat toy rolling around in a bubble?
It's great to hear you're home. Don't over do.No jumping on your new bed.
Okay, no salads for awhile but how about some chicken noodle soup?
hooray! the cats were probably like, "that guy's nice, but we're so glad you're home".
what's the plan now? relaxing, healing, & letting the gi jens do their job. whatever you need to do now, it's got to be 100 times better being in your own home & bed (so lucky). i keep asking andy for a new bed, but he says our isn't broke so we don't need a new one. what a man.
Jenette, You Rock!!!
The feelings I am having about your recovery process can only be expressed by a little something I wrote.
"Jenette,
Did you ever know that you're my HERO,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings!!!!.......
Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
so high I almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you, THANK GOD FOR YOU !! the wind beneath my wings".
OK so I didn't write any of that, but you are still my HERO!
I am sooo glad you get to be at home. You are blessed with a loving support group, and we are all inspired by your strength!
Keep up the hard work, and keep on posting. It has been great being able to keep track of you.
It's not that your partners don't do a great job, but let's face it, THEY'RE NOT YOU.

Way to go Jeanette,
Glad to hear you are back in the world! I was just asking about you Tuesday night and here you are, cool.
Stay well and behave (right) "May The Force Be With You!" Sorry I didn't have a neat song like that show-off Mark...

YEAH!!!! YOU ARE OUT!!!! GLAD TO HEAR THE GOOD NEWS. I KNOW THERE WAS PROBABLY A BIT (JUST A LITTLE BIT) OF AN INSECURE FEELING WHEN YOU WERE GETTING READY TO BE DISCHARGED. THE SECURITY OF THE HOSPITAL WAS SUDDENLY GONE ... BUT THAT FEELING LEFT AS QUICK AS IT CAME. RIGHT?? THAT FEELING HAPPENED TO ME AFTER SPENDING THAT MONTH IN THE HOSPITAL (MY BACK SURGERY IN '82, REMEMBER THAT??), BUT THE FREEDOM I FELT WAS THE GREATEST. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO EXACTLY AS THE DOCTORS TOLD YOU.
ON TO MORE IMPORTANT THINGS .... HOW WAS THE NEW BED? I'M SURE YOU COULD'VE SLEPT ON A BED A NAILS AND YOU WOULD NOT HAVE CARED. IN NO TIME YOU'LL BE ABLE TO BE OUT AND ABOUT LIKE NORMAL.
WE HAVE REALLY STRONG GENES IN OUR FAMILY AND THE GI JENS ARE THERE TOO. WHAT A TEAM!!!! KEEP ME AND ALL THOSE WHO CARE POSTED ON YOUR PROGRESS. LUV U 'CUZ
Congrats on being released! Keep us updated on things and let us know when the big celebration is! If we all have to wear masks and gloves, I don't think that will be a problem! Great job! talk to you soon! Did you see Aramis' grand slam! Yeah Baby!
