Yesterday was a little rough - I had a headache all day long. But the docs gave me some good drugs, and I feel good today.
I really started losing my hair yesterday. I started pulling clumps of hair from my remaining tail, and decided to cut it off. I was feeling a little sorry for myself, but I am over it now. I just looked at the cool scarves Judy and Liz got me, and it lifted my spirits. I have decided not to do a wig, just scarves. My sister is going to make me some that later, when I don't need them for my head anymore, I can use them for my neck or elsewhere. Get on it, Mimi! I'm counting on you!
I also talked to my main neurologist today, and we got on the topic of scarves. He is a very "buttoned down" doctor, but he took the time to show me a website of super fancy scarves. Talk about service! I think a trip downtown will be in order when I bust out of here.
Mark - what an uplifting song. Thank you for the good thoughts. You impressed my mother-in-law as well. I'll try to lay off the cartwheels.
Mom H - cool passage from the Daily Word. I think someone spiritual is trying to tell me something. I got the message.

Hi Jenette,
Hope the headache is gone still. Sounds as though yesterday was just plain rough however you looked at it.
Isn't it a relief experiencing sometimes intimidating people being human? My Mom always said "just imagine (whoever it might be) sitting in front of you in nothing but their underwear". When sharing this with my friend who was dealing with many doctors she responded that "she was going to visualize her least favorite clinically minded doorknob of a personality doctor with his underwear on his head". Upon meeting him I couldn't look at my friend because I knew that we both had the same visual.
Scarves could be a good lifetime signature trademark for you. Just wrapped around your neck, flung over your shoulder with drama and flourish!
Just think, you finished hump day for another week.
Take care. As always you're in my thoughts and prayers.
Amy
hey jenette,
i agree with you about the scarf look. i think you'll look glamourous. keep in mind though the hat and scarf look, like brett michaels from rock of love. technically he wore a mandanna and not a scarf, but the look is the same.
do you save any of your hair? your tail would make a great cat toy.
hope today is a good one, pain and discomfort be gone.
Good Morning, Jen! Hope you are feeling better today than yesterday. One more day in the hospital gone. I'm sure that you look as fabulous without hair as you did with it. Maybe it will grow back curly - I had a friend who had chemo, lost her hair, and when it grew back it was really curly. You never know. We keep sending good thoughts and lots of love your way. Take care of yourself. Love, Gretchen and kids
