Update

Wendy - I'll take reading suggestions anytime. Right now I am reading A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. It's pretty funny. Don't know when all the crappy stuff will be done with my treatment, but the docs said I would probably start getting the magic drug to boost my white blood cell count on Sat. My hope is to be out of here by 8/27. That would be three weeks total in the hospital.

Mark - I knew you guys would start misbehaving as soon as you were sure that my "incarceration" was complete and I couldn't do anything about it! I guess that's why your board is so much fun.

Mom, Gretch and Kurt - Thanks for the posts. It is so nice to talk to you guys everyday.

Jean - I'm ready to work out NOW! I have been lifting my weenie 5 lbs dumbbells for exercise and I actually did some hovering today. But I'm sure I did not stay up as long as you make me (I think I count faster than you do). Greg is bringing my 8 lbs dumbbells and the Bosu this weekend. My room is kind of small, but Greg said he would help me rearrange so I can actually use them.

Signing off from the "bubble ward."

It is nice to see that you are dealing so well with the entire situation and also that you seem to have put the worst behind you. My wife and I both wish you the best. I see that Greg has gone for the day which is waht prompted me to log on and check up on how things were going. Since he is bringing you his 8lb weights does that mean he has moved up to the 10lb weight class or, is he taking your 5lb'ers home to train.
Once again, good luck and all the best.

Rick (who you know in name only).

No more gymnastics, and on to weightlifting. What's next the decathlon? Since you keep getting poked by all the doctors and nurses, maybe fencing should be next.

Hi Jenette, I'm so happy to say I'm baaack after my test run. All I can say is thanks to Liz for her help and is my daughter ever going to stop rolling her eyes in response to my questions reguarding the computer? I did find you once but was unable to reply. You really are a tough cookie/marshmallow!(or you're good at sounding perky) It's good to know you feel well enough to keep up with the program, the blogsight and your sense of humor is still intact. If you're looking for small, mobile workout equipment I'd be happy to share my thigh workout thing so that you can maintain your muscles while watching soaps.(you're very bright and easily bored but who knows after this experience Greg may turn on the tv some night only to discover that you've been recording The Young and Restless for months and secretly watching after he's gone to bed) Anyway I'm happy for how well you're doing. Listen to your Mom and eat or else I might have to nag. Speak up if there is anything that would make you happy that can be done. You get to be the princess for now.

As always you are in my prayers. Keep up the good work. I"ll keep checking in.
